Found Photo: Tomás Saraceno Cloud City - Last week artist Tomás Saraceno completed the installation of Cloud City on the roof of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Argentinian's first major U.S. commission is comprised of polygonal, three-dimensional modules that fit together into a complex assemblage that visitors can move through. The steel-and-acrylic structure also includes a web of polyester, further linking it to the artist's other large-scale installations. Cloud City is on display until November 4 and is weather permitting.  jh   Headlines Brooklyn Botanic Garden Visitor Center Opens On May 16, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden opened its new Visitor Center, designed by Weiss/Manfredi with landscape architects HM White. More   London's Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2012 Design Unveiled The Serpentine Gallery has unveiled the design of its 2012 Pavilion, designed by Herzog & de Meuron and Ai Weiwei. More   Paul Rudolph-Designed Government Building Saved—For Now The Orange County (New York) Legislature defeated a bond that would have funded the demolition of the Orange County Government Center, designed by Paul Rudolph and completed in 1970. More   Building "Form Follows Mountain": Niklaus Graber & Christoph Steiger Architekten have completed the panorama gallery on Mount Pilatus, Switzerland. Christoph Steiger supplied us with some drawings and photographs for the project, also answering a handful of questions. On the eve of the formal ceremony in Beijing, Eduard Koegel explores the themes of tradition and modernity in the work of Wang Shu.   More Film The Guardian ArcelorMittal Orbit Tower: The Guardian's Jonathan Jones takes viewers on a video tour of the ArcelorMittal Orbit tower in East London's Olympic Village. The red-steel maelstrom is the product of artist Anish Kapoor and engineer Cecil Balmond. The double-walled façade of insulated and patterned-laminated glass gives the building its distinctive, layered transparency.
